According to the many reports out there from IGN and GameInformer, Nintendo is set to release a new console at E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in June.

It is reported but still rumored that the new Wii will be able to run games at “HD Resolution”…..Finally!! There is word that the new Wii system will be “significantly more powerful than the Xbox 360 and PS3”….Ha, Okay. The new Wii system will be backwards compatible which means that you will be able to play the games you have now for your current Wii, with the new system.

The console will be fully revealed at E3 in june where we will get a lot more info about the system, but most likely the console wont come out for retail sale till Late 2012.

UPDATE: Nintendo’s little project will be called for the time being “Project Cafe” and now sources that are working with the console itself are saying that the retail price will be anywhere between $350 and $400, Hmm not so cheap now eh!

UPDATE: has found out that “In terms of the design of the console itself, the overall size will be comparable to that of the original Xbox 360 and the system is likely to resemble a modernized version of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).”

UPDATE: Now what else is going to be different about this Wii and other consoles, well apparently these new controllers will come with integrated touchscreens and be capable of streaming games to each controller that you do have. Soooo that means you can stream a game to your controller and take it to a room to “handle your business” if you know what I mean.

TIDBIT: We’ll update this post whenever something new comes out about it, Stay tuned
